The Fall of Man = Early Spring Blooms

Afternoon is right around the corner on this cold Monday. I just got through taking Churchill {my american bulldog- yes irony abounds} for a walk around our street, and spring is not waiting any longer. Over the past couple of weeks, countless Japanese magnolias have pre-maturely began to bloom due to our Nova Scotia summer like weather. Of course my Presbyterian mother, as we drive by one of the early bloomers, in good ol' southern dismay fashion has to point out the connection between the fall of man from the Bible with the  Japanese magnolia tree and why it is blooming so early. The conversation then turns to Garden of Eden, George W. Bush, drums and guitars in church, The War of Northern Aggression, back again to the Fall of Man, and then ending with ordering Chinese for dinner.

 I, on the other hand, am content to enjoy the sinful beauty with out bringing theology into the equation.

{A great idea for the old sinful Japanese magnolia blooms}
